The album was released exclusively on May 28 by the independent music platform Palco MP3. In June 4 the songs could be accessed on all platforms and Youtube. Titled Down the River, the album brings together four new songs that go through the Blues and Rock, bringing an air of fresh within both styles.
There are three heavy songs and one ballad. The album opens with 'Mountain Top', a heavy rock blues. Then follows the title track from the album 'Down the River', with more rock vibe. 'Train to Paradise' brings a blusy atmosphere with modern feeling. The EP is closed with the ballad My Mistake.
"The songs talk about my life, experiences and situations that should probably be common to many people. The songs cover many themes common to Blues, such as overcoming, challenges, disappointments in life, the need for change, among many others, in addition to Christianity, this perhaps very present in the album but far from the commercial style that has been heard there, described.
The electric guitars and acoustic guitar were recorded by Rodrigo Souza, as well the main voices. The musician also recorded some bass lines and backing vocals. The drums was played by Caio Riberti. Some basses were recorded by Alexandre Siqueria. Rodolfo Rechia composed the keyboards and pianos. All the material was captured in a recording room in the city of Itapira-SP, Brazil, within the Rodrigo Souza Institute of Music, owned by the musician. He was responsible for editing, mixing and mastering the album.
O álbum foi lançado exclusivamente dia 28 de maio pela plataforma de música independente Palco MP3. A partir de 04 de junho as canções puderam ser acessadas em todas as plataformas e no Youtube. Intitulado Down the River, o disco reúne quatro canções inéditas que passeiam pelas vertentes do Blues e Rock, trazendo ainda um ar de novidade dentro de ambos os estilos.
São três músicas mais agitadas e pesadas e uma balada. O álbum é aberto com ‘Mountain Top’, um blues rock pesado. Em seguida segue a faixa título do álbum ’Down the River’, com ar mais roqueiro. ‘Train to Paradise’ traz uma atmosfera mais blueseira com traços de modernidade, enquanto o EP é fechado com a balada My Mistake.
“As músicas falam sobre minha vida, experiências e situações que provavelmente devem ser comum a muita gente. As músicas tratam sobre muitos temas comum ao Blues, como superação, desafios, decepções na vida, necessidade de mudanças, entre tantos outros, além do Cristianismo, esse talvez muito presente no álbum mas longe do estilo comercial que se tem ouvido por aí”, descreveu.
As guitarras e violões foram gravados por Rodrigo Souza, assim como as vozes principais. O músico também registrou algumas linhas de baixo e backing vocals. As baterias ficaram a cargo de Caio Riberti. Alguns baixos foram gravados por Alexandre Siqueria. Rodolfo Rechia compôs os teclados e pianos. Todo o material foi captado em uma sala de gravação na cidade de Itapira-SP, dentro do Instituto de Música Rodrigo Souza, de propriedade do músico. Ele ficou responsável pela edição, mixagem e masterização do álbum.
